The A’s have pounded the Mariners into submission all season long, and that might have caught up to them in this series. That’s fantastic news for the Angels, and a win here and an A’s loss will make the next few days very interesting. Kelvim Escobar has been a big disappointment this year, and would get himself back into the good graces of the Halos fans if he were to show up tonight. I’m expecting he will, and I’m looking for the Halos to take the second game of this series with ease. The Mariners kept the Halos chances alive last night by prohibiting the A’s from clinching in extra innings. By taking two f three this past weekend at the Coliseum, the Halos have to continue to win the rest of their games, and pray to the baseball gods that Oakland continues to stumble in the Pacific Northwest. The Halos have handled Robinson Tejeda the only two times they’ve faced him, and I’m expecting more success tonight.
